Inclusive Design for Sustainability 2025

Join RNIB Scotland and technology partners from around the globe to explore the latest advances and conversations about inclusive design.

Following the successful 2023 event, RNIB Scotland’s pioneering two-day conference for accessibility and inclusion professionals from the digital and technology sector will take place on March 17 and 18 2025.

 

Dr Aubrey Webson, UN Permanent representative and Ambassador for Antigua and Barbuda will open the event setting out why is it crucial that accessibility is built into society’s infrastructure from the outset. The two- day event which will examine how innovative solutions can drive sustainable development in accessibility for people with sight loss.

 

Global tech giants, which have led developments in accessible technologies - including Google, Waymo, and Starship Technologies - will also feature.

 

A range of keynote speakers and expert panels at the conference will highlight the role of cutting-edge technologies and sustainable practices in creating inclusive environments in public spaces, at home and in the workplace. Speakers will also focus on how emerging technologies can bridge the accessibility gap in developing regions to allow advancements in technology benefit all communities.
