The Built Environment Change Makers (BECM) are a group of professionals from all corners of the industry who advocate for systemic change in the sector and are committed to making it happen.
Meet the BE Changemakers
The group shares ideas and makes emerging expertise and views heard throughout industry. The Changemakers meet regularly, and take part in engaging industry with new opportunities.
Responsibilities
Supporting skills
Helping to shape skills projects aimed at educating the developing workforce.
Advisors
Acting as advisors on innovation funding panels.
Ambassadors
Acting as ambassadors to encourage young people into the sector.
Influencers
Representing young people with Scottish Government, the Industry Leadership Group and other influencing bodies to shape the future of the industry.
What they're working on
The sustainability group led by Zarja Krevelj, HLM Architects and Finn Caldwell, Morrison Construction has been focused on looking into different ‘Alt futures’ across Scotland – including urban, semi-urban and rural locations to gain a more holistic view of the current issues faced across the country.
Once complete, the findings for the urban, semi-urban and rural alt futures will be shared in an online document.
