Low Carbon Learning: Next Gen
The sessions will cover knowledge and training in Retrofit, Passivhaus, Digital Construction and Modern Methods of Construction, whilst always considering the Fabric First approach.
The sessions will be delivered at BE-ST, covering both theory, interactive learning and practical sessions. This programme can support travel to our innovation centre in Blantyre.
It is fully funded through the Young Persons Guarantee (YPG) and supported by Scottish Funding Council (SFC).
Paper printable Passivhaus
BE-ST designed this printable paper Passivhaus for our Low Carbon Learning Next Gen Programme. Made for young learners, it serves as a fun, educational and hands-on introduction to Passivhaus principles.
Take part in our online learning module
BE-ST has launched a new online learning module to help young people better understand how alterations to existing buildings can save energy and money.
Targeted at 13–24-year-olds but useful to anyone who wants to better understand ‘fabric first principles.’ It will be of particular interest to those interested in construction careers or reducing our impact on the planet.
Clear and simple diagrams will lead you through the basics of the adaptions we can make to our existing houses to meet our net zero 2045 targets and some low-cost ideas for taking fabric first principles into your home today.
