Don't wait for December 2024. Get prepared for the Scottish Passivhaus Equivalent now.
December 2024 is rapidly approaching, and the new Scottish Passivhaus Equivalent will be here before we know it.
All new homes are set to adhere to a new minimum environmental design standards to meet the Passivhaus standard, or a Scottish equivalent, in order to improve energy efficiency and thermal performance.
Alongside Coaction, we are delighted to offer Passvihaus Practical Training endorsed by the Passivhaus Trust at an intermediate level.
Attendees will get the opportunity to get hands-on with our training rigs and undertake rapid upskilling of:
The training at BE-ST provided us with the qualifications and skills necessary to build to the Passivhaus standard. Clare Booth, Coldwells Build
Excellent training and hospitality. Very positive feedback from all attending. Cameron Bell, Ayrshire College
Great to finally put theory into practice - the day was packed with invaluable tips from the trainers. Highly recommend! Course attendee
When Coldwells Build heard about BE-ST’s training through word of mouth, Ross and Clare decided to educate and upskill themselves and their workforce of joiners and builders. After participating in both the Passivhaus theory and practical courses with BE-ST, the team sat their Passivhaus exams.
In early 2024, Coldwells Build will launch a collection of prefabricated, turnkey Passivhaus designs - the first of their kind in Scotland.
Architect, manager and operatives on Scotland's first Passivhaus social housing development all trained with BE-ST to improve their knowledge and see what went into Passivhaus, and what it might look like on site. The training helped them anticipate problems and difficult details in advance, opening up conversations about how best to do things.
Lecturers from Ayrshire College Construction Technology and Carpentry & Joinery curriculum areas took part in a Passivhaus and retrofit session with us. The session allowed the lecturers gain better understanding when they come to teaching students about Passivhaus, retrofit and sustainable building practices in the College.
