Trainee success stories
Ross and Clare Booth, Coldwells Build
When Coldwells Build heard about BE-ST’s training through word of mouth, Ross and Clare decided to educate and upskill themselves and their workforce of joiners and builders. After participating in both the Passivhaus theory and practical courses with BE-ST, the team sat their Passivhaus exams.
In early 2024, Coldwells Build will launch a collection of prefabricated, turnkey Passivhaus designs - the first of their kind in Scotland.
Scotland's first Passivhaus social housing development, Cruden Building Scotland
Architect, manager and operatives on Scotland's first Passivhaus social housing development all trained with BE-ST to improve their knowledge and see what went into Passivhaus, and what it might look like on site. The training helped them anticipate problems and difficult details in advance, opening up conversations about how best to do things.
Ayrshire College Construction Technology and Carpentry & Joinery
Lecturers from Ayrshire College Construction Technology and Carpentry & Joinery curriculum areas took part in a Passivhaus and retrofit session with us. The session allowed the lecturers gain better understanding when they come to teaching students about Passivhaus, retrofit and sustainable building practices in the College.
