BE-ST launched a fully-funded digital construction skills training program in partnership with the HCI Skills Gateway. The program targeted educators and small to medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) in East and South East Scotland. The initiative aimed to equip participants with essential skills in utilising digital technologies in construction processes, with a specific focus on surveying, setting out technology, laser scanning, and total station instruments. Moreover, the program emphasised the significance of zero carbon initiatives and retrofitting within the construction industry.

The primary objective of the digital construction skills training program was to address the growing demand for proficient individuals who could leverage digital tools and technologies effectively in construction projects. By providing educators and SMEs with comprehensive training, the program aimed to enhance their understanding of digital workflows, data utilisation, and scanning techniques while emphasising sustainable practices.
