Passivhaus Practical Training

Alongside trusted training provider Coaction Training CIC, we’re offering Passvihaus Practical Training for Tier 1 supply chain members working on commercial, educational, public service and residential projects at scale.  

Learn directly from the UK’s most experienced Passivhaus practitioners by exploring real-life scenarios using our bespoke training rigs.

Who this course is for: Contractors, subcontractors, designers and supply chain memembers.

Skill level: Intermediate

Cost: £150 per person

Low Carbon Passport

The Low Carbon Passport is a brand-new training course designed to help both existing professionals and new entrants develop the practical skills needed to thrive in the future.

Backed by major industry partners including Balfour Beatty plc, Morrison Construction, Kier Group, Robertson Group, and the Passivhaus Trust, the programme is led by BE-ST.

Who this course is for: Contractors, subcontractors, educators, apprentices and supply chain.

Skill level: Beginner

Cost: Fully funded


Introduction to Building Physics Dynamics

This hands-on training course offers a practical introduction to building physics, helping learners understand how core construction products function and how to use them effectively. Delivered using bespoke training rigs developed by BE-ST, the course bridges a critical knowledge gap in the industry and equips participants with widely transferable skills.

Who this course is for: The courses are available to anyone not currently in full time education from recent school leavers, apprentices, career switchers to those looking to upskill in new areas.

Skill level: Beginner

Cost: Funding available or £250 per learner based on a minimum of 10 learners in a group.

Building better learning for educators, higher education students, and young learners across Scotland.

BE-ST Educator Programme 2025

Supporting educators to adopt a competency-based approach to education.

BE-ST Educator Programme is a six-month agile leadership course aimed towards college management and educators in built environment related subjects. The course adopts a competency-based focus to support educators in reducing skills imbalances.

Who this course is for: Those working in the college sector.

Skill level: Intermediate

Cost: Fully funded for Scottish educators or £1,700 per person

Accelerate to Zero Postgraduate Scholarship

Tomorrow's built environment is one of the most exciting careers to consider.

We are funding Master’s and postgraduate candidates who can help solve climate change, create smarter, healthier places, and develop a workforce and culture that supports the new future. The A-Z Postgraduate Scholarship supports projects that will make an impact on industry through new or developed processes, products or ideas that help solve industry challenges.

Who this for: Scottish students enrolled in or applying for a postgraduate studies within a Scottish University.

Skill level: Postgraduate.

Low Carbon Learning: Next Gen

Designed for young learners interested in the built environment with workshops suitable for aspiring architects, technicians, technologists, quantity surveyors, project managers, brick layers, joiners, stonemasons, plumbers, plasterers, structural, civil, mechanical and electrical service engineers, and so much more.

Who this course is for: 13-24 year olds
